Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

IMG_3386
We stayed in Disney World for six nights/seven days.  Three of those nights they held their Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and because of this here blog Disney treated my family to the opening night of the Christmas party by providing us with tickets to the event.  The party and all it's activities were to begin at 7:00 pm when only a limited number of people who had tickets would be allowed in the park.  At 7:01 on Tuesday a drizzle began and by 7:30 pm the hubs and I were paying a small fortune for plastic to try and keep dry.  They did the best they could under the circumstances but shows, fireworks and parades were canceled due to the weather however the free hot chocolate and all you could eat sugar cookies were still a go.  Yum!  The weather did finally clear up around 10:00 that night so the 10:30 Christmas parade went on but with limited floats and characters.  Honestly it was still a blast because we really didn't know what we were missing out on so we still had fun in the rain riding rides and watching the parade.  Because Disney is so very awesome everyone who had tickets for Tuesday night's party was invited back to the same party that Thursday.  OH.MY.GOODNESS! It was awesome.
The firework show I can't even begin to form sentences to describe how awesome it was.
The character shows I can't even begin to form sentences to describe how awesome they were.
The amount of characters walking around the park with you, plenty!  We even rode the Aladdin ride with the Country Bears (no joke!).
The parade!  Oh the parade!  We sat on the curb on Main Street while snow fluttered around our heads and watched the most magical parade ever.  Floats smelled wonderful, the characters were so animated and the songs!  Oh my gosh I just loved it all.  The hubs and I left feeling so happy and we honestly just couldn't believe the show they put on.  So much so that we bought tickets to Friday night's party.  We couldn't miss it.  If you plan on going to Disney during the Christmas season I would recommend reducing the number of days you buy park hoppers for and buy the party tickets instead (that day they were letting you in as early as 3:00 for the Christmas party even though it doesn't begin til 7:00).  It was that good because honestly if it wasn't I would have never bought tickets to go for a third night.

Ok, now I must work on pestering the hubs to get our tree up!
Once upon a Christmas time at Christmas....(the song that I have been singing ever since that is driving the hubs nuts)!

You should go to the Halloween parade. INCREDIBLE. We're still singing "It's good to be bad..." from the villains part.

Thanks for posting the gorgeous photos. We have a trip planned in March and we can't wait! I showed my 4 year old your castle picture and he asked, "is that the condo we're staying in when we go to Disney World?"

i have to say, the first and only time we went to Disney World, I still need to grab my bottle of Xanax from the PTSD of it all.

It's no wonder they call it the Magic Kingdom!

I wonder what their electric bill is each month. I guess that's why it's almost $100/day!

How fun! I'd love to go back to Disney for one of their holiday parties. We went a few years ago in February when they were doing their "Pirates and Princesses" party. We love Disney all around, but that night was especially magical. I still get a little verklempt just thinking about it. Glad you had a great trip!

I am so jealous! My husband and I have been to Disney 4x in 3 years and we haven't gotten exclusive access to jack. It's because I haven't shot a kid out of my Christmas. I know it is.
