Well, that just sucks!
I just saw on the news that stores are using "skinny" mirrors in their dressing rooms. You see if the mirror is tilted slightly up it makes you appear wider but if the mirror is tilted slightly down you appear skinnier (or vice versa, try it and let me know). They showed a comparison with a model and holy crap it was true. So this got me thinking...after I had each of my kids I would always dread going shopping. It wasn't pleasant trying to squeeze my body into the size that I thought should fit. After finally getting the shirt/pants on I would look in the mirror and think "Goodness I look fat in this." Now I am wondering if I was standing in front of a "skinny" mirror. If I was standing in front of a "skinny" mirror, good god what did I really look like?
Or you are all excited because you finally found a dress or outfit that looks awesome on you. You hold your head up high as you drive home from the store thinking man I will look great, only when you try on the outfit at home it looks like crap. Seriously I think this happened to me at Nordstroms about a month ago. I bought 3 shirts that were sure winners in the dressing room. I felt great. I tried them on at home and I didn't look as hot as I had remembered looking in the dressing room two hours before. The following week I marched my butt back and returned them.
If this is true about the "skinny" mirrors there should be some kind of warning.
I feel violated.

*mental note-change angle of mirrors in home*
Oh man that sucks, now I'm really not going to try clothes on until I lose weight!
This is going to make me think next time I am trying on clothes. Can't they just let us look like the real us?? I mean the industry does everything so that we think we are not getting fat but as a nation we are. I really HATE vanity sizing, can't a size 8 be a size 8? I hate the fact that in one store I wear an 8, in another a 6 and in another a 10 or 12!
Oh no, why would they release this information. Must slant all mirrors at home slightly down! All mirrors must be up right now!
I have a solution - angle all your mirrors at home!
I wondered why things looked different when I got home from what I tried on at the store.
