My decorating style screams "I use to be a teacher!"

One day not too long ago BG and I got bored...I didn't feel like cleaning or cooking and well she is two so she is always looking for something to do. So we raided the garage and dug out some of my teaching stuff and decorated her new room.
Hey, what can I say, what else am I going to do with the $3000 worth of stuff sitting in my garage! I like to think of her room as "My Little Classroom!" She loves it. We sing the songs on the poster, sing the alphabet and the posters under the alphabet are all vocabulary words with pictures made personally by ME!

I know one day I will go back and I look forward to that day so I just can't part with my teaching stuff. Hubs tried once to throw some stuff out but I went and got them back out of the garbage...once he saw the room he had to admit he was glad none of it was thrown away :-)

So cute! I don't have any of the "cute" teacher-y stuff, or we might have ended up with the same stuff. But, I'm not opposed to going out and buying and alphabet poster. Izzy loves the ABCs!!

I love how, in the last picture, there is a Woody doll thrown in with all the girl and educational stuff.

Connor will be happy to know that you can appreciate Diablo for the good looking snake that he is!

I should do this with all of my old teaching posters! But I taught third grade, so it won't be nearly has fun. Do you think Porgie is ready for cursive handwriting and multiplication yet?

Her room is super cute! And I'm the same way...it's hard to accumulate all that stuff and it's GOOD stuff! Don't you dare throw it out!!! I think about going back to teach sometimes too...I've got a long ways to go...

Here for the first time...your site looks great!

I am a former teacher, too, so I totally understand. Her room looks so cute! I was a middle scholl teacher, so nothing I can use with the kiddos...yet!!
